Dear King George Families,

We hope you had a great spring break with lots of fun together! Spring is here with snow, sun, and more snow! It was a good reminder of how important it is to check the weather in the morning and ensure your students are dressed appropriately for the day. Besides going outside for recesses, students also go outside for various learning activities.

Good Friday and School Day Monday

Tomorrow, Good Friday, is a statutory holiday in Alberta - school is closed. Monday, April 6 is not a statutory holiday and is a CBE instructional day. Student attendance is expected on Monday, April 6.

School Spirit Day and Le Bingo du Vendredi

Friday, April 10 we are having School Spirit Day! Students are encouraged to wear King George apparel or their grade's colour:

  • Grade 1 - Blue
  • Grade 2 - Green
  • Grade 3 - Yellow
  • Grade 4 - Orange
  • Grade 5 - Red

All students will receive a healthy snack to enjoy during our Bingo du Vendredi. Please email your child's teacher if you do not want your child to receive the snack.
