Dear Families,

Thank you to all families who participated in the Student Learning Conferences on Thursday and Friday this week. The conferences are such an important point of connection for you to learn more about your child’s current learning and conditions for success at school. If you did not have a chance to meet your child’s teacher, please contact them to arrange a time to meet.

We invite parents that have a Facebook account to follow our official school page King George School – CBE. You can also follow us on Instagram @kinggeorgeschoolcbe for updates. We will use these platforms to share activities and learning as they are happening in our school.

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found has been accumulating and we ask that parents remind their child(ren) to claim lost items.  Students in grades 1-5 are requested to see their lunchroom supervisor if they are missing any items. Students in Kindergarten can connect with their classroom teacher. All unclaimed clothing will be donated to a local charity on December 22. Thank you!

Dates of Significance

We are committed to building a culture of appreciation and inclusion, where students, staff, and our whole school community can see themselves valued, respected and celebrated. The Dates of Significance CBE calendar identifies some of the significant days of recognition and celebration within the CBE community. 

Days and months of significance are identified by the provincial and federal governments to raise awareness and action about historical, cultural and equitable practices.

Note | There are many dates of recognition, cultural celebrations and religious days that may not be included on this list. This should not be interpreted to mean these dates are not noteworthy. Please let us know if your family has a celebration or day you observe that we have missed so we can acknowledge it in our updates to families.  Thank you.
