Thank you to all the families that have been able to contribute to the Calgary Food Bank.  The boxes have now been picked up.  The Warm Feet for the Streets initiative continues.  It is a great way to support those in need in Calgary. We invite you to fill up some warm winter socks with essential items like personal hygiene (mouth care, deodorant, soap, etc.), tissue, gift cards, special notes/messages, etc., and place their socks under our school tree outside the office.  Thank you to all those who have already sent in some socks. We appreciate your generosity and support.

Kindergarten and Grade 1 Open House

It’s that time of year when we start to promote the French Immersion Program to potential students of Kindergarten and Grade 1 in the 2024-2025 school year. If you have a child who is eligible to start next school year, please join us at the Open House on January 11, 2024, from 6:30-8:00 pm.

Pedestrian Safety

We want all families who walk across the surrounding school intersections to exercise caution. With our roads being icy and snow covered, we need to be vigilant as some drivers have been speeding and are failing to stop pedestrians using the crosswalk on 20th avenue and 9th street. Please be extra vigilant as sometimes drivers are unaware and will continue to speed even in variable weather conditions. Please also exercise care and obey all traffic laws when you are driving.

School Council Winter Movie Night

The King George School Council is hosting a Family Movie Night! We will be showing ABOMINABLE in the gym on Thursday December 14, 2023, from 5:45 pm – 8:00 pm.
