Dear Families,

What an exciting week we had, capped off with our pancake breakfast community builder this morning! We were thrilled to see such an incredible turnout. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing School Council and all the volunteers whose hard work and cheerful energy made this event such a success.

Your support helps strengthen the sense of belonging at King George School, and we are so grateful to be part of such a caring and vibrant community.

Library Support

Mme Shahida, our library assistant, is looking for volunteers to help in the library.  Anyone can volunteer if you have your volunteer clearance.  If you do not have your volunteer clearance and would like more information, please contact our main office for assistance.

School Council Meeting – Thursday Sept. 18

Our first School Council Meeting of the year is next Thursday at 6:30 PM and is hosted in our School Learning commons.  Parent/Guardians of King George students are automatically members of the school council.  We hope to see you there!

Terry Fox Run - Thursday, Sept. 25

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 1:15pm – 2:00pm King George School will be participating in the Terry Fox Run.

In support of cancer research, our goal is to complete the run for Terry and raise double the amount of money as the laps that we run. In the weeks leading up to the run, some classes will be measuring the distance around the field and figuring out how many laps we need to run, as a whole school, to cover the distance in KM from Thunder Bay to Victoria.

For more information visit the Terry Fox Foundation here.

We are looking for volunteers to support during the event. Volunteers will be assigned to a classroom to record laps that are run by students. To volunteer, you are required to have a valid CBE Police Clearance. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact

Mme Shannah via email: shernest@cbe.ab.ca
