Dear Families of King George School,
This week was International Walk to School Week. Thank you to our School Council for organizing walking trains and bike buses, and to all volunteers who supported running these from a variety of locations. For those of you who cannot participate in walking and biking to school, we thank you for participating by parking further away from the school and walking from your parked car. This significantly helps reduce traffic congestion and increase safety around the crosswalks and the Kiss n’ Go on 9th Street. Merci!
Thanksgiving is a time to pause and reflect on what we are grateful for. Before we head into the Thanksgiving long weekend, we want to express our sincere gratitude to all of our families for your continued support and partnership. We know that family life can be busy and sometimes challenging, and we want you to know how much we appreciate the trust you place in us each day. Your children are truly remarkable, and it is a privilege to work with them each day. Thank you for working with us as a team to support their success and well-being.
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way!
Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from Monday, October 26 to Thursday, October 29 in the Learning Commons. Parents and guardians will have a chance to visit the book fair in person during King George’s annual Fall Dance, which will take place on the evening of Thursday, October 29.
There are many books available to browse and order on the Scholastic Book Fair page. If you can’t make it to the fair, ordering online is a great way to participate. Books that are ordered during the book fair week will arrive before the Winter Break!
