Dear families,
Welcome to June! How did the last month of the school year come up so fast? It is hard to believe that there are only 4 weeks left and still so much learning to do!
We had a fabulous wellness day today! Thank you to all volunteers who helped make this day engaging and successful. Thank you to all the families who made play-doh, our parent yoga instructor, our parent dentist, and our parent banana donators/coordinators! Thank you also to our amazing School Council who provided snacks for our presenters today. We had several other non-parent/guardian volunteers such as Field Hockey Alberta, The SUMMIT, the Calgary Rams Rugby Club, Alberta Snowboarding Association, our CBE Area 2 Learning Team Inclusive Learning Strategist and Physio Therapist, and other stations that were lead by our own KGS staff. We are grateful.
Deadline for Bus Service Registration – Sunday, June 22
We want to remind families that the deadline for bus service registration is June 22, 2025. Registering prior to this date will ensure that students are added to routes for the start of the school year.

Student Behaviour at School
We would like to remind families that all students are expected to follow the CBE Student Code of Conduct. Recently, we have noticed an increase in student behaviour, and we believe it is important to work together to address this. We ask that parents and guardians review the Code of Conduct with their children and reinforce the importance of respectful, responsible behaviour both in and out of the classroom. Please know that when students make choices that go against our student code of conduct, we will be following progressive discipline procedures. We are all responsible for creating and maintaining a Welcoming, Caring, Respectful and Safe school environment.
Library Exchange – Year End Process
The last day to exchange library books will be June 6. After this date, there will be no new books signed out to the students. We ask that all books are returned to school by June 13. Thank you for your support.
Friday Spirit Day – Backwards & Inside Out Day
Join us for Spirit Day by wearing your clothes backwards and inside out, celebrating school spirit with a creative and fun twist.
