Dear families,
We hosted our annual Wellness Day today and it was a great event! Students had the opportunity to learn about the different aspects of well-being from professionals across multiple fields. Thank you to all who volunteered for the day – we appreciate your time and dedication to student well–being!
Class Lists
As we plan our class lists for next year, teachers have discussed with their class which students in their grade that they think they work well with. “Working well” means a peer that supports their learning success in the classroom, and that person may not necessarily be their best friend. Every year, teachers and admin work together, and do their best, to ensure that your child is in a class with at least one supportive peer.
As always, we do not accept requests for teachers. If you have serious concerns and would like to discuss how we can better support your child, please email Allison Hull, principal and Renée Samson, assistant principal, directly.
Save the Date - Volunteer Appreciation – June 18
We wish to show our gratitude to all members of our school community who support our students and staff in many ways. Please join us at King George School on June 18 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM for a beverage and a treat, mingle with teachers and each other, and enjoy looking at the various pieces of art, poetry, etc., students have created to show their gratitude.
If you will be joining us, please RSVP
Registration for 2024-2025 Transportation
We want to remind families to register for yellow school bus transportation by June 16 to be included in route planning over the summer. You can register through MyCBE.
Curt Young Concert – May 13
Curt Young will be offering two concerts to our students on May 13. Curt Young weaves storytelling and music to share his Indigenous culture with others. This concert aligns with this year's TRC Call to Actions Commitment to learn from Indigenous artists. Find out more! We also want to thank our School Council for their support with this event!
Friday Spirit Day – Class Matching Day
Each class will be choosing their own theme for this matching day. Please look out for communication from your child’s classroom teacher!
Wheel Week
The Bike Bus has been so much fun! Lots of students and parents joined in and everyone really enjoyed riding to school together as a group. Thank you also to all the drivers who were so patient and respectful of all the kids biking to school.
