Dear families
Happy new year 2025! We hope everyone enjoyed the Winter Break. It was wonderful to welcome our students back to school and hear all about their adventures and experiences over the past two weeks. January is a busy month as we come to the end of our first semester and prepare for semester two!
Respecting our Community Members
We would like to kindly remind everyone to be mindful of the surrounding community when dropping off or picking up your children. Please avoid walking on our neighbors' yards and do not park in front of their driveways or block alleyways. We are fortunate to be part of such a wonderful neighborhood, and by respecting the properties around the school, we help maintain positive relationships with our neighbors and contribute to a caring community environment. Thank you for your support with this.
Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year (for new/prospective students only)
Registration opens January 13, 2025. If your child is entering Kindergarten or is not currently in Kindergarten at King George School and will be registering for Grade 1 for the 2025-2026 school year, please submit their registration via School Engage by 12:00 PM MST on February 11. Students whose registrations are submitted prior to this deadline will be added to the lottery draw. For students who are currently registered at King George School, you do not have to register them again. They are automatically considered in our enrollment. Thank you.
Report Cards & IPPs
Teachers are now finalizing assessment and report cards for the first semester. Report cards will be available during the week of January 27 through the MyCBE portal. You will need to log in to view your child’s report card. A student’s report card corresponds to ongoing assessment done by their teachers. Assessing a student’s progress is one of the most important ways teachers support the continued learning of their students. You may have questions about your child’s report card, how your child is being assessed in school, and how to read and interpret the report card. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
Students who have Individual Program Plan’s will also receive an update at this time. If your child has an IPP, you will need to review the IPP, sign the signature page, and return the signature page to your child’s teacher.
