Dear families,

We had a great week celebrating Carnaval at King George School! We’re thankful for the great weather that allowed students to participate in outdoor activities during the week, and for all of the fun indoor activities as well.

Traffic Safety on 10th Street NW

We are reminding families that parking in front of the main entrance on 10th street NW is not permitted. This is not a loading/unloading zone. If you are running late, you must find parking and walk your child to the front door. We are also reminding families to use designated crosswalks at all times. This models appropriate pedestrian behavior to our students and ensures everyone’s safety. Thank you for your support.

Teacher Visits Through the OLEP (Official Languages Education Program) Grant

This year we are connected to Varsity Acres School, Tuscany School and Hidden Valley School through the OLEP Grant. Our teachers have an opportunity to visit a partner school and observe various teachers and classes, and teachers from our partner schools will visit King George School. The purpose of these observations is to help build teacher capacity and professional expertise. By having the chance to learn from colleagues, share best practice, and exchange ideas, teachers can reflect and explore ways to strengthen their teaching practice. We are all excited about this opportunity!
