Dear families,
We had to check our eyes as we were seeing double and triple today! School spirit high and the day was a success. Students and staff had lots of fun dressing as twins/triplets/quadruplets, etc.
Thank you to the families who were able to attend our celebration of learning AM and PM assemblies for Mme Sereena and Mme Senechale’s classes and M. Côté and Mme Wallace’s classes. Our celebration of learning assemblies allows students a chance to share some of what they are learning (learning in progress) with an authentic audience and our school community a chance to see what others are learning about in their classrooms.
Staffing Update
We are so excited to announce Mme Claire’s return leave on Wednesday December 11. We are so grateful to have had M. Alex/M. Campbell step in as Phys Ed specialist while Mme Claire was away. We are happy to have M. Alex/M. Campbell stay on with us until the Winter Break.
Student Code of Conduct
As part of our ongoing commitment to creating a safe and welcoming space for all students and staff, we are asking for parent support in reviewing the CBE Student Code of Conduct.
Here are some key points to focus on:
- respect personal space by keeping my hands and feet to myself
- use kind and welcoming word with others
- go to a teacher or trusted adult when I feel unsafe, or when others are unsafe
- take responsibility for my words and actions
- engage in my learning
- appreciate feelings, ideas, stories and experiences shared by others

ATTENTION! | Street Closure Wednesday Dec. 11
We have been granted a permit to close 9 Street between 20 Ave and 21 Ave on Dec 11 from 7:00am-3:00pm as the introduction to our School Street project. More information on School Streets and to give feedback on this project here (linktr.ee/kgschoolcouncil). If you drive to school to drop off and pick up your child(ren), please leave extra time to get to school on time, leave extra space around crosswalks and intersections so students can cross more safely, do not park in the bus lanes, and avoid driving in the alleys.
We want to say a big thank you to our School Council for their support in making this opportunity available for students!
