Dear families,
Welcome to December. Thank you to our families for your generous donations to the Veterans Food Bank. Items were picked up on Monday, December 1.
We have noticed that many students are coming to school without appropriate outdoor clothing. Please ensure that your child comes to school with a hat, a winter coat, snow pants, winter boots, and mittens/gloves, so that they are ready for outdoor recess and outdoor learning. If your family requires support, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help. Please contact our main office.
School Improvement Results Report & School Development Plan
The School Improvement Results Report (SIRR) for 2024-2025 and School Development Plan (SDP) for the 2025-2026 school year are now posted on the school website. Our overarching goal for the next year is that student achievement in French Language Acquisition will improve, while our specific outcome for this year is that students will enhance their oral French comprehension and expression by engaging in purposeful, collaborative communication that develops their overall French language proficiency. Please check it out on our website or click the link below.
Spirit Fridays in December
We’re heading into December with fun Spirit Days! Here’s what we have planned:
- December 12 – Opposite Day- Students dress like a teacher; Teacher dress like a student.
- December 19 – Pajama Day: Help us kick off the winter break by getting cozy and comfy in your favorite pajamas.
We can’t wait to see our students' creative outfits and school spirit! Thanks for helping make these days extra fun!
Warm Feet for the Street
Our grade 3s are working on citizenship project as part of their curriculum. Here is a note from 2 of the students:
Dear families, For the next 2 weeks our school is participating in Warm Feet for the Street through the Mustard Seed. This is where we put essential items in socks for donations to people experiencing homelessness.
Some examples of things you could put in socks include: Gift cards, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, mittens. Filled socks can be placed under the Christmas tree in the front lobby.
Thank you so much for participating!
