Dress for the Weather
The warmer weather this week brought lots of new recesses fun, including digging in the mud and splashing in puddles. There were many changes in clothes as students came in with wet and muddy socks and pants, etc. As we know, the weather changes quickly in Calgary. Now that spring is officially upon us, please support your child(ren) in dressing for the weather as we spend a lot of time outdoors for both play and learning. Having a change of clothing ready in their backpacks is always helpful.
Toys at School
We are asking for your support in ensuring that students do not bring toys or personal play items to school.
Recently, we have noticed an increase in items being brought from home, including mini resin animal figurines (the latest trend), that are being shared and traded. These items are becoming a distraction during instructional time and are also leading to conflicts during recess (e.g., disagreements about trading, lost or missing items).
To help us maintain a focused and positive learning environment, please keep all toys and personal play items at home.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
