Dear Families,
June is a busy month and there are so many exciting things happening at school. We would like to congratulate our grade 4 and 5 students who chose to participate in the Calgary Elementary School Math Contest. The mathematical contest is organized annually by the Department of Mathematics and Computing, Mount Royal University. We are proud to announce King George Students won 3rd place in the whole city for Level 1. Bravo! A huge thank you to our grade 4 and 5 teachers who supported these students during their Tuesday lunchtime Math Club meetings.
School Fees
This is a friendly reminder to check your CBE account for fees owing before the end of June. We have over $14,000 still owing.
Volunteer Tea
If you have volunteered in any capacity, we would love to show you our appreciation at our Volunteer Tea. Please R.S.V.P by Sunday, June 7, at the latest by clicking on the link below. We will need to know how many volunteers will be attending so that we can plan for the appropriate number of people.
The volunteer tea is going to look a bit different this year because it is our Grade 3 students that are hosting it as part of their big project on volunteering. They are so excited to welcome you into the school and show their appreciation for all that you have done for our school community. Whether you supported fundraisers, joined us on field trips, read with students, helped with special lunches, helped in the classroom/in school activities, planned behind the scenes and so much more, we want to acknowledge and thank you!
